It's been what, 8 years since last time we did anything about Pixel Metropolis?

During those 8 years I have been doing things other than pixel art.

I am SO sorry!

I've had so much to do at the university that I actually forgot about the whole project, and I had a bad flu for a week, but really there is no excuse for me not having replied to your messages.

I feel terrible when I see all the great stuff you've made for Pixel-Metropolis, and I haven't even checked the inbox. I can only imagine what it must feel like to recieve no reply after having worked so much on something.

Thus, I issue you an appology, and I hope that you will accept it, and that you still wish to continue making such great stuff for us.

I was looking at the preview image pixel-metropolis.deviantart.co…, and I noticed that the buildings are the size of four of the grass/road tiles (for scale to work), so Im wondering if you want to do up a more detailed version of that, or just leave it to me to make the decision of how to lay things out in a similar fashon to the preview.
If you'd like I can do up a template of what it'd look like if I did it.

Heres my layout for the metropolis. It makes the roads ive done fit in to scale. Read the discription for details.

I like it alot, but I think there should be 49 building slots - if someone withdraws their reservation, I know several people that will want to take their place. Could you extend the the way I've sketched out here: img691.imageshack.us/i/propose… ?

I've had a bit of time, and I'd like to (in addition to building the background), make a building for metropolis. Likely somthing to have to do with road works  I wonder if I could make a steamroller...

After everything you've done for our project, and after not having gotten a reply for a long time to several messages, I think you should get to make anything you want to for your spot

...it is still on hold because of various stuff that I simply must prioritize (however, I still do promise that I will be checking on the project regularily - which means that new submissions will be added although I don't have the time to finish my part right now).

Old news are good news:
As mentioned before, Rettro has made a proposal for the look of the roads). Although still not used, it will be used, eventually. Further more, as I've said before, I've also talked with ShoneGold about the look of the terrain, and It seems that these two are going to be deeply involved with the creation of the terrain
I've written a guide on how to draw isometric pixel-helicopters.

Sorry, but we've reached our goal of 49 members, which means that we will not accept any more members now. However, in case you find pixel-art interesting, I still recommend that you check out my forum announcement from </i>Jun 21, 2007</i>, Pixel-artist? Join the Pixel-Metropolis collaboration, as it includes a short list of usefull pixel-art tutorials. Furthermore, there might just come another project like this after this one is finished
